Business

Business Analysis: Focused on assessing the overall business and team in order to identify strengths and weaknesses and bring forward new information and ideas to help improve the bottom line. Sometimes a Business Analysis is a first and fundamental step before providing a more in-depth service such as a Business Plan or Strategic Business Analysis.

Feasibility Study: In depth research and analysis to help evaluate a potential organizational undertaking. Go from, "Would this enterprise model be viable in this market?" or "Should we invest and expand into this new product or service offering?" to "Should we change our marketing strategy?" Sometimes investing a relatively small amount of time and money into a quality Feasibility Study can pay large dividends.

Business Plan: Documents every aspect of a business and its growth plan in such a way that it is a useful working document and that it is flexible enough to be updated periodically. In order for a Business Plan to be effective, it requires significant involvement and commitment from a company's management team and should include many measurable steps and well-defined objectives.

Strategic Business Analysis: Focused on the fundamental growth strategy and mission of the business. Clearly identifies the value proposition(s) of each product or service and how best to produce them. Clearly identifies the sales and marketing strategy for each product or service, how best to deliver them and then support the customers. Clearly identifies important areas of risk or uncertainty.

Restructuring Plans: Documents the detailed processes for significant organizational changes in a project management-type format. Restructuring Plans take into account all assets, personnel, commitments and the business strategy. Sometimes it's a result of the recommendations of a Strategic Business Analysis.

Preparation for Financing or Selling a Business: Cleanup the financials, assets, and important documents (such as the business plan) to make a company as presentable as possible. Preparing your finances should add value to your business. Conduct a Financing Structure Analysis in order to develop a corporate profile and financing document for potential funders.

Corporate Finance: Geared toward healthy companies that could make good use of fresh capital, typically for the purpose of ownership changes and/or business expansion, taking into account debt, equity, convertible debt and combinations thereof. We have many relationships with investors and lenders who trust us to properly vet and document potential capital recipients.

Succession Planning / Exit Strategies: Admirable succession plans must take into account and carefully balance persons, abilities, ambitions, and wishes - not just dollars and cash flows. Every business needs a documented succession plan and exit strategy to ensure that, worst-case scenario, decisions can always be made quickly and efficiently.

Business Coaching: We meet periodically with the key Executive(s) to help them stay on track with their Business Plan.

Corporate Turnarounds: Rescuing failing companies for the owners and/or creditors. We apply our pool of talent (as required) to make the most of a deteriorating situation. Typically this entails significant changes to strategy and operations in order to stop the bleeding and reinvigorate an organization.

Business Advisory Board: POET Group offers to meet with senior management quarterly to offer advice and encourage accountability for favorable business outcomes.

Health Clinic Management is a unique area of specialization. It involves a skillful process of assembling and developing a synergistic team and economies of scale for increased overall productivity and efficiency. We have built a successful practice that respects the system, patients, health providers and staff.

Leadership

Promoting and developing strong leadership skills can help an organization realize much greater productivity from those that they employ. Without a leadership team to guide their day-to-day employees will either quit or (even worse) "stay and quit".
